Carbon Laser Treatment is a non-invasive, non-ablative resurfacing technique that employs a carbon solution and laser to peel the skin. It is recommended for large pores, oily skin, and slightly uneven pigmentation through pore cleansing and balancing sebum. It also gives a slight thermal effect to reduce fine lines as a collagen-stimulating benefit. However, the C02 Fractional laser is a more prolific treatment for deep skin issues. It penetrates microscopic thermal tissue damage deep into the dermis to stimulate drastic collagen remodelling. It is used on deep wrinkles, acne scars, and severe sun damage. The main results of the Carbon laser are a smoother texture, less plumpness and a fairer complexion. C02, however, yields a more effective and long-term decrease in the depth of wrinkles and scars. Carbon Laser has minimal downtimes, whereas C02 takes a long time to recover with peeling. The two are also potent resurfacing tools, but they serve various degrees of skin problems and have different intended results.
